J.R.C. Pocket Watch

I found this pocket watch with my grandmother and we though it was for James Henry Cordon, but the R is mysterious.

"It has to belong to someone in the family!"

It's an Elgin watch with serial number 5893287, which was made in 1895. It seems the inside of the watch was replaced with serial number 24599482, which was made in 1922.
